Core Values

All-in for kids.
We care deeply about kids and their well-being. Being all-in means that we relentlessly pursue better outcomes for all kids. We never phone it in. At the Foundation we don’t shy away from visionary ideas. We see human potential and imagine what could be. We know it takes tenacity to make big things happen. We relish solving tough problems and proactively seek to remove obstacles that get in the way of achieving goals. We wake up every day excited to make a difference for kids.

We build strong teams.
We exist to create partnership between our public schools, the community and our donors. Everything we do is made better in collaboration. We believe strong teams are diverse and inclusive. We come to the table with an open mind and an end-goal of building enduring relationships. We don’t kill ideas. We honor and acknowledge each and every person’s expertise. We are always looking for the win-win when problem solving.

We show up.
At the Foundation we are all servant leaders. We exist to have the community’s and each other’s backs. There is no job below us. We always pitch in. We lead by example and have high standards. We strive to deliver our best in every interaction. We do that by being responsive, anticipating needs and following through.

Always learning.
We believe in the power of education and a growth mindset. We each have individual strengths and talents, but we are never done learning. To us, acknowledging that we don’t have the answer is a sign of strength. We recognize subject matter experts and seek to be those in our own field of study. We take on challenges enthusiastically and view them as opportunities to grow. We get curious.

Seek the good.
At the Foundation we look for silver linings and see the glass as half-full. We seek the good in all situations and work from a place of gratitude. When times get tough, we come together to honestly and openly overcome challenges. We assume positive intent. We don’t spread negativity.
