Cecillia and Emmary are new to Lincoln Northeast and in fact, also completed their student teaching during the first semester. These Ladies are co-teaching in our ED classroom. Over the past few years we have worked to continue to grow in our support of students who need the support that an ED classroom provides. Approximately 7 weeks into quarter one we approached Cecillia and Emmary to see if they would be willing to step in and take over the classroom. They embraced the opportunity and have worked tirelessly to make the classroom a success. I know that some days it feels as though they take 3 steps forward and the next, 2 steps back. And yet, because of their positive attitude, attention to consistent routines, procedures and practices, they are moving the program forward. Students are experiencing successes. Thanks to Cecillia and Emmary the ED classroom has made significant strides in just one quarter. We are thankful for their commitment and dedication to support students. We are lucky to get to work with them and look forward to continuing to support them with the great work they're doing on behalf of students.
