Chloe Reinwald

Pound Middle School
Spanish Teacher and Athletic Director
Nominated By: Principal Victory Haines

Chloe has stepped into a huge role as Athletic Director this year. She knows that getting students plugged into sports is critical to student attendance, academic success, and building community here at Pound. She has worked incredibly hard to find coaches and score keepers. She has organized tryouts and attends practices and games herself. She has brought an academic accountability element to our intramural sports. Her communication to staff in both of these areas has been greatly appreciated and many teachers are seeing improved grades in their classes thanks to her efforts. She gives her own time to host grade improvements sessions after school for student athletes.

Also as a Level 1 Spanish teacher, Chloe nearly exclusively uses the target language from the moment student enter her classroom through the entirety of the lesson. She has helped students who in the past have had reading intervention take Spanish, be successful and earn high school credit. She partners with parents and students, meeting them where they are at.

Chloe realizes how important middle school sports are and how they can help students do better in the classroom too. She truly cares for the students and wants to hold them accountable along with encouraging positive choices and behavior. She is an excellent co-worker, team leader and player, who is always looking for ways to improve and see things "outside of the box". Pound is very lucky to have her.
