A Summer Packed Full of Fun is Waiting

Spark is a hands-on summer camp focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) for Lincoln-area elementary students. We work to create an environment where all students can explore, wonder, and learn…. Because we believe STEAM education is for everyone!

  • Dates, Days, and Times

    • Spark 2024 will begin on Wednesday, May 29th, and run through Friday, August 2, 2024 (no programming on July 4 and 5).

    Half Week (Weeks 1 and 6) $190 + $10 activity fee

  • Who comes to Spark?

    • Spark is open to all Lincoln-area students who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade.
    • New for 2024, Spark will have a “Camp Crew” program for students who have completed 6th – 9th grade. Camp Crew students will be able to learn alongside their
elementary counterparts while also sharing their STEAM knowledge, helping teachers, and providing an extra set of hands for our engaging activities. For more

  • Daily Schedule

8:30-9:00 am Students head to their age-specific classroom, where they prepare for the daily lessons and get to know other campers in their classroom.

9:00-10:00 am Students work together to explore, wonder, design, and learn about the weekly theme. Daily activities change but often build upon the previous day’s work.

10:00-10:45 am We’ll head outside or to the gym to expand our learning through play!

10:45-Noon Head back to our classroom to continue our discovery and explorations... Oh, and play, laugh and learn!

    Noon-12:30 pm Lunch

12:30-1:00 pm Back to our classroom for some downtime… students can explore the reading nook in each classroom, listen to the group reading book, or take time to draw, wonder, or relax.

1:00-1:45 pm Dive deeper into our learning, exploring, and fun!

1:45-2:15 pm Back outside or to the gym! No shortage of play at this camp!

2:15-3:00 pm More exploration, discovery and wonderment!

    3:00-3:30 pm Snack!

3:30-4:15 pm More time with activities, explorations, and investigations of the weekly theme.

4:15-4:45 pm Keep up the action! More playtime outside or in the gym!

4:45-5:00 pm Students work collectively to clean classrooms and group areas.

5:00-6:00 pm Students work independently and in small groups on end-of-day activities, including arts and crafts, computer time, and fun with STEAM resources. Student pick-up.

Our days will include engaging activities, dreaming, engineering, and many games. But we know some downtime is essential, too. As our day begins (7:30-8:30 am), students will have time to warm up with individual activities, reading, and small group activities. Then, after lunch, we’ll take some time to relax before we resume our action-packed explorations. Finally, we’ll end the day with a bit more downtime (5-6 pm) where students can again work on individual or small group activities, read, or play STEAM-based computer games.
