A voice-to-voice call from a friend might seem like a novelty to some these days. Pick up the phone and your success rate in securing a gift for our students increases dramatically. Think it might just go to voicemail? That's cool we've got a script for that too.  


Phone Script


Hi [Friend Name], how are you doing? I don’t know if you know this, but I am a big supporter of the Foundation for LPS. They have done so much for [insert child’s name/grandchild’s name/students] this year. 

As a Foundation Ambassador my goal is to encourage three of my friends to give a Give to Lincoln Day gift to Lincoln Public Schools this year. Can I count on you for a gift on May 26th?

The Foundation raises money to support kids, teachers and our schools above and beyond what tax dollars provide. They do this so that students have more opportunities to discover their full potential. This could be anything from providing funds for a field trip to help solidify a concept an educator is teaching to aiding families with emergency funds so they can purchase classes so they can see the board in class. I give because of [Give Reason You Give]. Will you join me?

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.

Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.

Automated Recurring Donation Cancellation

Ongoing support is important to enabling projects to continue their work, so we encourage donors to continue to contribute to projects over time. But if you must cancel your recurring donation, please notify us.

Gift Acceptance Policy

The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools (“Foundation”) from time to time receives gifts from donors. Some of the gifts are designated for specific purposes by the donor. Other gifts have no restrictions.
