Anne Weyers

Hill Elementary
Special Education/Life Skills Teacher
Nominated By: Principal Amy Carnie

Anne is calm, kind and gentle in her approach with children. She works hard to ensure success for all students. And, she tells great 'dad jokes'. Anne lovingly works with students who have high needs (academically, socially, cognitively, behaviorally, etc.) in our school. She consistently shows patience and grace to these students as she works tirelessly to teach and create meaningful work for them. She has high expectations for all of her students. She views each day as a chance to grow and get better, no matter how hard the previous day was. In addition to pouring everything she has into students, she collaborates with several staff members. She creates schedules for paras and gives them clear direction on how to engage with students in meaningful ways. Anne is an inspiration to all who have the pleasure of working with her! We are so thankful that Anne is at Hill.
