MSgt. Trent Woodruff

Lincoln Northeast High School
Aerospace Science Instructor (JROTC)
Nominated By: Principal Keri Applebee

For over two years MSgt Woodruff was the sole JROTC instructor at Lincoln Northeast. The program is required by the Air Force to have two instructors at all times due to the academic and extra-curricular load that instructors are expected to carry. MSgt Woodruff somehow managed to carry the Lincoln Northeast JROTC program for two years on his own. This included teaching 100% of the cadets 5 days a week, getting them outfitted and equipped with uniforms, leading multiple extra-curricular after school activities, heading up over 20 community service projects and providing color guards to LPS sporting events and activities. He did all of this because he believes in his program and cares for the students in JROTC. I have never heard him complain about the situation and he comes to work every day with a smile; committed to making the students better citizens and helping me to be a better JROTC instructor. The dedication and devotion to this program reflect great credit on MSgt Woodruff, the US Air Force and Lincoln Northeast High School.
