Kylee Doremus

Everett Elementary
Early Childhood Family Educator
Nominated By: Principal Mike Long

Mrs. Doremus is always very positive with every aspect of teaching. She engages students with activities that help them see how what they are learning is used in the real world. For many students in her classroom, this is their first experience with school. Her balance of high expectations and compassion have made school a successful experience.

She successfully creates an environment of respect and rapport. This includes consistently teaching practices, and reinforces classroom routines and procedures. She is very reflective and analyzes her lessons to see how she can improve and how students can learn. She has high expectations for all students with a high level of student participation.

I have been continually impressed with Mrs. Doremus’ driving commitment to excellence. She is extremely committed to our school and its goals. She has always gone above and beyond her job requirements. This includes being a mentor to student teachers in her classroom. She works well with her student teachers, offering support and modeling effective instructional strategies. She truly wants to help others and see them succeed.

Kylee Doremus is a key member of the Everett Elementary teaching staff. Her dedication goes beyond the classroom, and extends to the entire student body. She commits so much of her time and effort to the school and her class. She is very deserving of the Inspire Award.
